Becca gave me her pastels from when she was a kid, along with a couple of boxes and a sticker maker. I was stuck the other night and wanted to make art so I pulled them out and drew with my left hand.
The chalk pastels were very dry, almost crumbling so I had to use fixative to set them in place. I added rich, dark oil pastels on top (making quite the mess) and finally came to a resting point. I had to add graphite and ink because my mind wouldn’t have it any other way. The piece is 12” x 17”, and has room on the outside of the border in case it should be framed later. These photos just don’t do the colors justice, but do they ever?
